Born and raised in Oak Park, Sacramento, California, Lugenia Whiteside always believed taking care of your community was essential to the health and wellbeing of your surroundings. As an adult, she often volunteered and poured her love into those around her. With a mindset that seeks abundance, Lugenia founded Help Our People Eat or H.O.P.E. in 2014 to further her purpose in community development. Her passion for helping others succeed drives her to take action everyday to better those around her as she works to educate and give hope. H.O.P.E. for Lugenia, is a means to an end and an avenue for future success of her community.
